Mark Rybitski's Obituary
Mark Rybitski, 58, of Culpeper passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Meadowbrook Residential Care after a lengthy illness. Mark was born June 22, 1958 in Scranton, PA. He was the son of Michael Rybitski, II, and the late Mary “Bunny” Rybitski.
Mark graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Marketing. He later furthered his education at George Mason University. After receiving his degree, he briefly joined the United States Air Force and participated in basic training. On his return to Virginia, he worked extensively for IBM, Lockheed Martin and British Aerospace.
Mark was also a world traveler, visiting China, Mongolia, New Zealand and Madagascar. He enjoyed nature, possessed both a great respect and love of animals, had a passion for photography and was an avid fan of music. Family was a very important part of Mark’s life. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul with an adventurous spirit.
He is survived by his father, Michael Rybitski, II, and his stepmother, Joyce Hardy of Culpeper; his sister, Marci Rybitski of Lake Anna; his paternal grandmother, Mitzi Rybitski of Scranton, PA; his nephews, Christopher and Andrew Rybitski; and his niece, Sarah Rybitski.
Additional survivors his uncles, Robert Rybitski of Allentown, PA and George Rybitski of Hammar, NY; as well as his aunt, Marianne Bryant of Scranton, PA.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Rybitski, III.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Fr. Mark Moretti officiating.
Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Huntington ’s Disease Foundation, PO Box 912, Salado, TX 76571.
