Marion W. Woodward's Obituary
Marion “M.W.” Woodward, 83, of Culpeper, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017 while residing at Countryside Assisted Living in Pratts, Va. Mr. Woodward was born in Rixeyville on August 14, 1933 to the late Luther P. Woodward and Eva Frazier Woodward.
Mr. Woodward was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict and upon his honorable discharge went to work with VDOT having retired as a supervisor after 25 years. He was known as “Woodie” by his friends and coworkers at VDOT.
M.W. “Woodie” is survived by his wife, Ann E. Woodward; their daughter, Cheryl Pullen and her husband, Richard of Culpeper; one sister, Elsie Dodson; three grandchildren, Jonathan Smith, Robin Meyia and Crystal Mancio; and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, M.W. is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Woodward; and three siblings, Laura Brown, Elwood and Clarence Alvin Woodward.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Harrelson of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers named are Jonathan Smith, William Jackson, Arnie Bennett, Mike Mozingo, Donald Cubbage, Burgess Cubbage, Jackie Cubbage and Jason Settle.
