Marie Rush's Obituary
Marie Jeannette Russell Rush of Fredericksburg and formerly of Buffalo, New York and Alexandria, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Her final days were filled with reflection and comfort surrounded by her children and several special keepers of her comfort, Carroll, Shirley and Tammy.
Marie was born to the late Sidney J. Russell and Wilhelmina Schmid Russell Miles on July 2, 1931. Her brother, Jack and sister, Betty also preceded her in death.
She enlisted in the United States Navy after her high school years and became one of the first female corpsman in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Mom is survived by her three treasures, John, Alan and Brian and their wives, Leslie, Sharon and Laura; her grandchildren, James, Robert, Jason, Shelly, Stephanie, Benjamin, Alice, Ian, Austin, Cullen, Jack, Mason, Nate, Hayden, Landon and five great grandchildren.
Marie is also survived by a niece, Dale Quinn and a nephew, Warren Ahl and their families.
