Marian Stroup's Obituary
Marian Thelma Brown-Stroup, 88, resident of Chancellor's Village died Tuesday, May 8, 2007.
She was born in Virginia to the late Emmitt and Janie Hayden.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.
Marian is survived by her children, Carol J. Moore of Rockville, MD, Joelle Wills and her husband, Dr. Jack Wills of Fredericksburg and Dr. Elton H. Brown, III and his wife, Susan of Lake Gaston, NC; sister, Frances McWhirt of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Allen Hayden and Edward Hayden, both of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lowell Stroup and Elton H. Brown, Jr. and a brother Cecil Hayden.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 2, 2007 at 10:00am in the Chancellor's Village Garden, with the Rev. Rick Ritchie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the SPCA, 1523 Olde William St. Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
