Margrette B. Burgess' Obituary
Margrette B. Brown Burgess, 87, of Reva, VA passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2013. She was born October 28, 1925 in Rappahannock, VA to the late Thomas Lee Brown and Lillie Mae Corbin Brown.
Mrs. Burgess worked for the Federal Government of 32 years. She was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Shirley Jean Burgess, Peggy Lynn Dodson (James), Larry Richard Burgess (Rosemary), Brenda Kay Burgess, David Wayne Burgess (Diana), and Sheila Karen Brown (Glenn); seven grandchildren, Richie (Tina), Carrie (Matt), Timothy, Chad (Beverly), Jeffrey (Tracey), Laura (Eric), and Lesha (Ronald); and eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Kerstin, Sean, Kayleigh, Kaleb, Chloe and Alex.
She is also survived by two sisters; Ida Mae Shaw and Ruth Lillian Hicks, and one brother; William “Buck” Lee Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Richard Burgess; two sisters, Ruby Francis Baines and Mary Catherine Burgess; and two brothers, Ernest Perry Brown and Thomas Carrol Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 3 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Adam Miesburger officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private for the family in the Brown Family Cemetery.
