Margaret Jenkins McKenzie's Obituary
Margaret Jenkins McKenzie, 68 of Culpeper, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born on March 10, 1939 in Orange, VA to the late Robert H. and Nora Frances Jenkins.
Mrs. McKenzie enjoyed cooking and taking scenic rides along Skyline Drive. Above all else she loved and cherished the times spent with her family.
She is survived by her three children, Rose Fletcher and her husband, Larry of Nokesville, VA, George Walker and his wife, Ann of Madison, VA, and Debbie Smith and her husband, Frank of Toms Brooke, VA.
Additional survivors include her brother, Robert H. Jenkins, Jr. of Washington, VA, her three sisters, Shirley Jenkins of Gordonsville, VA, Gertie Marks of Madison, VA and Mary Dyer of Orange, seven grandchildren, Shawn and Christopher Jenkins, Melinda and Jennifer Walker, Brandon Rutherford, and Khristina and Joshua Smith, three step grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Franklin Smith, Jr. and Jennifer Fletcher, three great grandchildren, Bradley Jenkins, Isaiah Rutherford and Cameron Rutherford and one step great grandson James Smith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence K. Jenkins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jon Heddleston and Dr. Ted Fuson officiating.
Interment will follow in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shawn, Chris, Larry, Paul and Bobby Jenkins and Eric Dyer and Franklin Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy and James Jenkins.
Memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to the American Diabetes Association 1701 North Beaureguard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
