Margaret Frances Bell's Obituary
Margaret F. (Peg) Bell 97 of Manassas, VA passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Fairfax, VA on Thursday, July 30, 2009.
Peg was born in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in Northern Virginia since 1950. She was a department manager at the Hecht Company in Ballston for 26 years. She was active participant in the Prince William Senior Center at Manassas and performed with the Happy Hoofers. She was a member of the Area Council on Aging and participated in the Golden Olympics winning 76 medals. Peg is predeceased in death by her husband of 45 years Donald and her great grandson A.J.
Peg is survived by her daughter Barbara Hemma and son- in- law Bill of Manassas, VA and her daughter Pat Smith and son-in-law Ken of Fairfax, VA; five grandchildren, Dena Hemma, Dawn Hemma, Brett Ames, Kelly Peren and Eric Ames and twelve great grandchildren.
Peg’s family will receive friends on Monday August 3, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. Interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22302 followed by a reception at the home of Ken and Pat Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manassas Senior Center, 9320 Mosby Street, Manassas, VA 20110 or Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Boulevard, Suite 500, Falls Church, VA 22042
