Margaret Ann Whorton's Obituary
Margaret Ann Whorton, 66, of Culpeper, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born February 12, 1943 in Culpeper County to the late Calhoun Nicholson and the late Mary Jane Carpenter Nicholson.
Mrs. Whorton was a very religious person. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Willie Ed Whorton, one daughter, Patsy Wallace and her husband, Robert, and two sons, Victor and Kenneth Whorton, all of Culpeper. Additional survivors include a brother, Charles Lee Nicholson and his wife, Linda, of Culpeper, and three sisters, Rosie Shifflett and her husband, Wayne, of Ruckersville, Judy Pullen and her husband, Charles, of Culpeper, and Edna Fraizer and her husband, Troy, of Farmville.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Whorton.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor John Burke officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John and Joey Wallace, Dennis and Edward Fraizer, Charles Pullen, Sr., Charles Pullen, Jr., Clifford Lauffer and Brian Nicholson.
