Margaret Caroline Woodward's Obituary
Margaret Caroline Woodward, 87, of Culpeper passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Berryville, VA. She was born May 27, 1931 in Clarke County to the late Virgil Cockrell and Mary Pearson Cockrell Tavenner.
Mrs. Woodward was a member of New Life Tabernacle Church. She loved to play music including the accordion, guitar and piano. In addition to loving music, Mrs. Woodward cherished her faith, her family and her church family.
She is survived by five children, Rosalie Arnold and her husband, Bobby of Orange, Russell Woodward and his wife, Virgie of Strasburg, Lois Addington of Culpeper, Bobby Woodward of Orange, and Linda Heavner and her husband, Leon of Berryville; two siblings, Virgil Thomas Cockrell of Front Royal, and Gloria Burkhart of WV; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Delaney Woodward, Sr.; two children, Cleveland Woodward, Jr., and Brenda Woodward; and four siblings, James Richard Cockrell, Ernest Lee Cockrell, Franklin Eugene Cockrell and Agnes Lorraine Canard.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry Stanley and Rev. Wayne Shelton officiating.
Interment will follow in Warrenton Cemetery.
