Margaret Keane Matthews' Obituary
Margaret Keane Matthews, 82, of Amissville was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017 while at Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center. She was born September 13, 1934 in Washington, DC to the late Thomas and Margaret Kennedy Keane.
She is survived by five children, John Barry Matthews, Jr. and his wife, Jackie of Renton, WA, Margaret Page and her husband, Rick of Suffolk, VA, Susan Kraus and her husband, Kevin of Amissville, VA, Stephen Matthews and his wife, Renee of Casselberry, FL, and Mary Ann Cook and her husband, Keith of King George, VA; two siblings, Katherine P. Becker of Silver Springs, MD and William K. Keane of McLean, VA; and 12 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Barry Matthews; and two brothers, Thomas Thomas Keane, Jr. and Michael A. Keane.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Mark Jenkins of Mountain View Community Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
