Margaret V. Hicks' Obituary
Margaret Viers Hicks, 83, of Culpeper died July 3, 2014 at Dogwood Village Health and Rehabilitation Center in Orange, Virginia. She was born August 5, 1930 in Allisonia, Virginia to the late Eugene Matthew Viers and the late Mary Jarrells Viers.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Hicks and his wife, Kim, and Scott Hicks and his wife, Tammy, all of Culpeper. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew Hicks and his wife, Mallery, of Richmond, and Ann Elyse, Adam, Kiley and Nolan Hicks, all of Culpeper. Additional survivors include a brother, John Viers, and three sisters, Louise Dickerson, Elizabeth McCambridge and Linda Atkins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James “Sonny” Hicks, and two brothers, Herman and Edd Viers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. in the Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. John Grotz officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local fire and rescue department.
