Margaret Evelyn Ford's Obituary
Margaret Evelyn Ford, 81, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Evelyn was a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church Women’s Group. She cared for her parents in their later years; she enjoyed crafts, word puzzles, and adored her grandchildren, and was an excellent cook.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 39 years, Milton “Mickey” Ford; a stepson, Tommy Ford of Baltimore; a sister, Mary E. Hancock; and two brothers, James H. Talley and his wife, Joyce and David E. Talley, all of Spotsylvania; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Cline Watson; a stepson, Stephen A. Ford and a sister, Virginia L. Bruce.
Evelyn’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 11007 W. Catharpin Road, Spotsylvania. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Evelyn’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 11007 W. Catharpin Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.
