Margaret Frances Carter's Obituary
Margaret Frances Carter, 82, of Madison died Monday, February 4, 2019. She was born September 3, 1936 in Locust Dale to the late Oscar and Kelly Brookman Wright.
Mrs. Carter retired from The Culpeper after 27 years. She loved NASCAR, football and other sports and enjoyed family vacations. Her telephone was her “buddy” and she loved eating, especially at Red Lobster.
She is survived by three children, Pamela Hargrave Coleman and her husband, Tom of Orange, Cindy Southard and her husband, Jimmie of Rixeyville, and Danny Carter and his wife, Roxanne of Martinsville, VA; one sister, Mildred Finks and her husband, James; and two brothers, Junior Wright and his wife, Maryanne, and Eddie Wright and his wife, Betty, all of Rixeyville.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Kelly Talbert and her husband, Chris, Craig Southard and his fiancé, Amy Jeffries, Katie Carter, and Jonathan Carter and his fiancé, Tiffany Baer; and five great grandchildren, Craig Southard, Jr. and his fiancé, Brittany Yancey, Hannah Southard, Kinzley Talbert, Kreed Talbert; and little John Carter and Ryan Carter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Milton Carter; two brothers, George and Earl Wright; and two sisters, Virgie Payne and Emma Coleman.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
