Margaret Bogler's Obituary
BOGLER MARGARET BOGLER Margaret Bogler lived her life with great vigor. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 18, 2009 at age 96. She and her husband, Irving, came to the United States from Budapest, Hungary in 1939, fleeing the Holocaust. They settled in St. Louis, Missouri. She lived her life with zeal, impressing every person she met with her total dedication to living every moment as if it were her last. She was never without a book, reading voraciously until the end of her life. Everyone who knew her loved and honored her. In Hungary she owned her own kosher dairy business. In America, she worked alongside her husband in the family’s sportswear manufacturing business. She volunteered at The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, the St. Louis Veterans Hospital, the Red Cross, Services for the Blind, and when she and husband Irving retired to Washington, DC, she operated the gift shop at Temple Beth El. She is predeceased by her husband, and is survived by daughters Judy Fisher (Ted) of Columbus, Ohio and Ruth Rondberg (Ron) of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, a sister in Budapest, grandchildren Lara Terrell (Gordon), Abra Goldman (Todd), Evan Fisher (Erica) and great grandchildren Miles, Elliot and Reece Goldman, and Scarlett and Sunny Fisher. Funeral services will be held at King David Memorial Park at 11 a.m. on December 23 in Falls Church, VA.
