Margaret Ann Clatterbuck Butler's Obituary
Margaret Ann Clatterbuck Butler, 79 , of Culpeper, VA, passed away peacefully and is safe in the arms of the Lord on July 1, 2022 at INOVA Medical Campus in Fairfax, VA. She was born January 23, 1943 in Eggbornsville, Culpeper County, VA. to the late John Henry Clatterbuck and Fannie Brown Clatterbuck.
Margaret was a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church where she held many positions. She worked as a bookkeeper for John T. Sisk Trucking for over thirty years. Margaret also worked at Culpeper News and Culpeper Star Exponent for several years. She was a wonderful writer and poet and former leader of TOPS. Margaret was loved by everyone and was a very kind person. She truly will be missed by everyone.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Pam Speelman (husband, Steve) of Culpeper; three sons, Paul Butler (wife, Teresa) of Culpeper, Shane Butler (wife, Lori) of Orange and Jason Butler (wife, Jennifer) of Palmyra; fourteen grandchildren, Zach Speelman (wife, Jen), Austin Speelman, Shelby Butler, Chelsy Butler, Morgan Butler, Brice Butler, Erin Butler, Niki Butler, Jon Butler (wife, Devyn), Ethan Butler, Tayler Snow, Chris Snow (wife, Lexi), Tyler Stoy and Gabe Stoy; ten great-grandchildren, Anika, Layla, Dalton, Juney, Bradley, Ezra, Jaxson, Lincoln, Tiernan and Christopher; sister, Pat Sullivan of Fredericksburg; brother, John H. Clatterbuck, Jr. (wife, Pam) of Culpeper; niece, Natalie Richardson; nephews, Brad Sullivan, David Sullivan, Danny Clatterbuck, Ian Clatterbuck and Steven Tinder, Jr.; several other nieces and nephews; God-daughter, Casey Terusiak; sister-in-law, Brenda Jarrells; numerous cousins; longtime friend, Mitzi Tipton; and a host extended family and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; best friend and mother-in-law, Elsie Butler; brother-in-law, Buster Sullivan; and best friend of “seventy years”, Linda Bailey.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow funeral services at Fairview Cemetery.
