Marcia Patrice Morehouse's Obituary
Marcia Patrice Morehouse, 63, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the University of Virginia surrounded by her family. She was born December 25, 1961, to Gary and Etta Morehouse in Petersburg, VA.
Marcia was the purest soul. Her life was full of miracles and evidence of the faithfulness of God. She overcame so many obstacles with quiet strength and courage, and found joy in simple things: the birds and butterflies, playing cards with family, and watching I Love Lucy. Everyone who met her was met with a beautiful mix of sass and kindness. She loved deeply and fiercely, and was deeply and fiercely loved.
Marcia is survived by her parents, Gary and Etta Morehouse; sisters, Marisa Banks and husband, Roy, and Tabitha Caplinger and husband, Brian; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Marcia is preceded in death by her sister, Monica Meadows, and brother-in-law, Mark Michaels.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Pastors Roy Banks and Brian Caplinger officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the start of the service.
An online guestbook and tribute wall are available at www.foundandsons.com. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Marcia’s name.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, Virginia, is serving the family.
