Magdalena Maddy Fischer's Obituary
Magdalena “Maddy” Alexander Fischer, 76, of Culpeper died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born September 16, 1933 in Utica, NY to the late Vincent and Antoinette Alexander.
Mrs. Fischer worked as an operator for CCA until retiring in 2000. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Culpeper, was an avid bridge player, world traveler and an excellent cook.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Fischer, her children, David Paul Fischer of Culpeper, Loraine Carol Gayheart of Richmond and Schelly Ann Chaffin of Temecula, CA, two sisters, Marie Soldato and Lucille Yaghy, both of Utica, NY and one brother, Vincent Alexander, Jr. of Utica, NY.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren, John Hagan, Barbara Hagan, Brittany Chaffin, Kaylan Gayheart and James Chaffin. Special caregivers, Dorothy Groves and Brenda Scott.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
Funeral services will be private.
