Mae Belle Malone's Obituary
Mae Belle Malone, 82, of Reva died on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on April 15, 1926 in Bentonville, VA to the late John Milton Jenkins and Julia Ann Curry Jenkins.
Mrs. Malone gave her life to Christ and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Stafford. She was blessed to be a stay-at-home military wife for over 20 years and because of the military was able to live in many different places in the United States.
She especially loved and appreciated wildlife. She was particularly fond of bird watching and knew most species at first glance. Winter and a crisp clean snow were two of her favorite things. In her past time she enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together as well as working crossword puzzles. She had a knack for ceramics and made some beautiful pieces that she shared with her family.
Mae Belle was a loving mother and grandmother. You could feel the love she had for her family whenever you walked into her home. Not only did her family cherish her but she cherished her family and looked forward to family gatherings and times spent together.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul E. Malone of Reva, and her children, Gloria Hayes and her husband, Richard of Mineral, Julia Fordyce of Reva, and Paul W. Malone and his wife, Deborah of Decatur, IN.
Additional survivors include, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three sisters, Marie Gifford, Magretta Figgins and Virginia Dawson, all of Front Royal.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Roger E. Malone, son-in-law, Michael L. Fordyce, Sr., four sisters and four brothers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Todd Pyle officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (New).
Pallbearers will be Todd Hayes, John Malone, Michael L. Fordyce, Jr., Donnie Jenkins, Tim Sedmak, and Butch Foster.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
