Madalyn "Maddy" Taylor Grant's Obituary
Madalyn “Maddy” Taylor Grant, 22 of Stevensburg, VA died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Orange, VA as a result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born October 23, 1998 in Culpeper to William and Rebecca Grant.
Maddy is survived by her parents; William and Rebecca Grant, two children; Gunner Frazier-Grant and Gabriella Beatrice Grant, two brothers, Phillip Douglas Grant (Amanda) and William Everette Grant, paternal grandmother; Miriam Ensor (Donald). Additional survivors include her aunts; Shelly Mae Cole, France Ann Rivera-Aguirre, Janet Fay Jenkins, Tonya Sue Hunnicutt (Wayne), and Donna Ghidei King, uncles: Steven Ensor Grant (Candice), Peter Douglas Grant, Sonney Everett Frazier, nieces and nephews; Eli Douglas Grant, Zada Lynn Grant, and Scarlett Marie Grant, the father of her children, Waverly Benson, along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents; Everett Sonney Frazier and Frances Beatrice Frazier, paternal grandfather Douglas MacArthur Grant, aunt, Patricia Frazier, and uncle, David Crockett Frazier.
Maddy was a very positive person and always saw the good in people, never judging anyone. She was an outgoing, outspoken country girl. She was a go getter, if she wanted something, she got it. She was a tomboy who loved fishing. She also loved her family, especially her children. She had the most beautiful soul and smile.
Maddy’s family would like to say thank you to John and Rita Henshaw of Orange, for seeing the good in Maddy and giving her a shot at a new job. They would also like to send a special thank you to Justin Waller for removing Maddy from her car at the scene of her accident. She too was one of those people that would have helped anyone.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior. Due to COVID 19 mandates, masks are required to enter the building. Pallbearer will be Steven Grant, Peter Grant, Phillip Grant, William Grant, William Grant, Jr., and Waverly Benson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maddy’s name to Culpeper Overdose Awareness, 1274 Leon Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
