Mac Arthur Pullen's Obituary
Mac Arthur Pullen, 68, of Rixeyville died Monday, February 14, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born August 15, 1942 in Culpeper to the late Albert and Ollie Pullen.
Mac was a member of Massanova Pentecostal Church where he was a board member for 30 years, trustee for 28 years and Sunday School teacher for 2 years. He was a truck driver for Wilson Trucking in Winchester and later for Culpeper Concrete.
He is survived by his siblings, Sally Whitlock of Centerville, MD, Albert Pullen, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Rixeyville, Nellie Settle of Culpeper, Margie Minor and her husband, Donald of Culpeper, Laura Jenkins of Culpeper, Scott Pullen and his wife, Retha of Rixeyville, and his dog ‘Lady’.
Additional survivors include two brothers-in-law, Samuel Woodward and his wife, Mildred of Warrenton, Milton Woodward and his wife, Marie of Amissville, special friends, Pearl and Essie Mae Newcomber, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Woodward Pullen and one sister, Dorothy McIntyre.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. L.D. Savage officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
