M. Lucille Mays' Obituary
M. Lucille Mays, 80, of Culpeper, died on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at her home. She was born on September, 30, 1945 in Staunton, Virginia to the late John B. Clatterbaugh and Mollie Lura Taggart Clatterbaugh.
She is survived by her children, Michael Shannon Mays (Brandie Palmer), Celia Lynn Hawkins; and honorary daughter, Karen Breckley (Joseph); her siblings, Margaret C. Eubank (Bill), and Ruth Smith (Ron); her grandchildren, Logan Mays, Clyde Cameron Mays (Kayla), Ian Mays, Maxwell Mays, Matthew Laramy (Kaitlyn), and Meagan Madden (Michael); her great-grandchildren, Aidyn, Julius, Finley, and Caden Mays, Gabriel, Aaron, Brandon, and Annikka Laramy, Harmony, Mikey, and Serenity “Ren” Madden; aunt, Murriel Wright and sister-in-law, Teresa Clatterbaugh.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Clinton Mays; a son, Clyde Kelly Mays; two sisters, Margie Macari and Jeannie Lamp and two brothers, Ron Clatterbaugh and John W. Clatterbaugh.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery on Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Laramy, Logan Mays, Cameron Mays, Chip Eubank, Jeff Eubank and Josh Holz.
