My heart ached to hear the news of my friend SGM Angie Rhodes. My friend, “Ball of Fire” as I called her has lost her battle and finding any words to put here is a struggle! My deepest sympathies to you Steven and the family. One of my fondest memories of Angie is when she and Steven stopped by my office and providing great suggestions to one of my military events. If you knew her, you knew Steven, and if you knew them…you knew they made things happen‼️ Angie was a “true go-getter/make it happen” type of Soldier, leader, friend, neighbor, spouse, mom, sister!!! She wore the uniform with great pride! She carried herself with much respect in and out of the uniform. I was so honored when she invited me to her “Passing of the Torch” event! My friend was such a humble woman who gave of herself unconditionally. She lived the Army Values and I was fortunate to call her my Battle Buddy! Angie I know you are looking down keeping watch over us. Know we will take care of Steven and the family. Don’t give God to much sass…he had the last word and we are doing our best not to question it. Until we meet again my friend, rest easy….we will take it from here! Heaven received an awesome Angel!
