Lynn Ellyn Stuart's Obituary
Lynn Ellyn Stuart died on the morning of Friday, Sept. 23rd of complications from Covid pneumonia. She was 77.
Born Oct. 24th 1944, in Allentown, PA to Bernice Parks & William R. Huntley, Lynn grew up in a military family. She graduated from Beaufort High School in Beaufort, SC in 1962 and enrolled in Orange Coast College after high school when the family relocated to Costa Mesa, CA. She later attended the University of California at Riverside, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. Lynn soon decided on a career in Elementary Education and dedicated most of her life as an elementary school teacher.
In 1970, she married the late William C. Stuart and moved to Idaho. In 1984, Lynn moved to Culpeper to be closer to her parents. She would spend the next 40 years in Culpeper, dedicating her career as an Elementary School teacher at A.G. Richardson Elementary.
Lynn loved history, the beach, had a passion for culinary arts, was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling abroad, collecting antiques, and spent most of her weekends rooting for Notre Dame and Washington Redskins football!
Lynn is survived by her Aunt Lucille Salomon of Allentown Pennsylvania. Aunt Louise Benda of Williamsport, MD. Uncle Donald Parks of Allentown, PA. Sister, Lee Huntley of Santa Cruz, CA and her son Jason Stuart and her two Grandchildren, Jackson Sanders-Stuart and Royalann Sanders-Stuart of Eugene, OR.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Found and Sons Funeral Home at 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 on October 24, 2022, for family, friends, and former students to celebrate what would have been Lynn’s 78th birthday. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
