Lynda Darlene Corbin's Obituary
Lynda Darlene Corbin, 65, of Culpeper passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born January 23, 1959, to the late Albert Charles “A.C.” Corbin and Doris Marie Clatterbuck Corbin.
Lynda owned and operated Lakeside Caterers for over 30 years. She found enjoyment in good food and great conversation. Lynda had a strong fondness for the beach, the sun, eating crabs, and traveling. She possessed a genuine fashion sense and loved vibrant colors. Lynda carried the love of vibrant colors over to her work in her garden where she took much pride and joy in all her plants and flowers. She cherished her family deeply. Though she did not have children of her own, she treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. Lynda, even after retirement, loved to entertain and host family and friends. In her downtime, she would be by her pool, where she held many family and friend gatherings. Her love for animals, particularly dogs, was evident in her care for them. Lynda was generous to everyone and will be missed.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Larry Hoffman; brothers, Steve Corbin (Rachel), Mike Corbin (Leilani); and Jeff Corbin (Curtis); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA, with Pastor Jeff Light officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in Lynda’s name to the Culpeper Humane Society at P.O. Box 1032, Culpeper, VA, 22701.
