Lyle Scott Dye's Obituary
Lyle Scott Dye, 59, of Wilmington, NC died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA.
Lyle was a member of the Hanover Lions Club, a Deacon at Winter Park Presbyterian Church and Habitat for Humanity volunteer. Additionally, he was a vietnam veteran and purple heart receipient who served honorably with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division, United Sates Army. He retired after 32 years as a communications technician from Bell South.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cynthia Terrell Dye; two daughters, Kristina Alford and her husband, Joseph and Stephanie Stutts and her husband, Rob; four grandchildren, Laura, Grace, Isabella and Delfin; four sisters, Melanie, Millie, April and Wendy; four brothers, Jon, Bodie, Jodie and Shawn; numerous nieces, nephews and his dear friend, Bill Wilson.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, NC with the Rev. Matt Hifel officiating.
