Lydia Herrera's Obituary
Herrera – Long time resident, Lydia Herrera, was called to heaven on November 23, 2010 with her family by her side at her son’s home in Virginia. The daughter of the late Antonio & Aurora Aragon was born on May 24, 1937 in Albuquerque. She was 73 and is survived by her son, Marc Herrera and his wife Marie who live in Centreville, Virginia; Daughters Doreen Chavez and Yvonne Chavez; brother Charles Aragon and sisters-in-law Josie Aragon and Mary McBride; grandchildren Krystal, Jonnie Jean, Emilio, Matteo and Marcello; nephews Charles Aragon and his wife Lori; Paul Aragon and his wife Mona Lisa, and Jimmy McBride; niece Jeanette and her husband James McNeely. Lydia was a beloved mother who worked hard, loved life and who will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Her father and mother, who preceded her several years ago, greeted her with a big smile on their faces as she passed through the gates of Heaven and was welcomed by all those friends and loved ones who were looking forward to seeing her again. There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, 17 Dec 2010, 9:00am at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd NE (505-344-0880) followed by burial at Mt Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE (505-243-0218).
