Lydia Dotson's Obituary
Lydia Arnette “Sally” Dotson, 85, of Orange died Friday, December 24, 2010 at her residence. She was born August 15, 1925 in Litwalton, VA to the late John “Sullivan” and Lydia George Saunders.
She is survived by her close friends whom she thought of as family, Robert and Lily Pruitt, and her grandchildren, Robert Pruitt Jr. of Orange, Christopher and Susan Pruitt of Orange, Matthew and Brandy Pruitt of Orange and great grandchildren, Aron, Tori and Dakota.
She is also survived by her siblings, Virgie Grey “Pat” Saunders Walker of Virginia Beach, VA, John Hopkins “Hop” Saunders and his wife, Julie of Columbia, SC, her nieces and nephews, Wayne and Pam Hunter, Judy Hunter and Kate Kase, Tommy and Dana Hunter, Teresa and Arthur Taylor, Mark and Patty Hunter, as well as several other great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Carroll Dotson, and many of her siblings.
The family will hold a service of fellowship and reflection on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
