Luz Buan Mangampat's Obituary
Luz Buan Mangampat, 84, of Culpeper passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1938 to the late Honorato Buan, Sr. and Filomena Buan in the Philippines.
Luz was a great mother and grandmother, loving wife, and wonderful homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Abelardo “Ben” Mangampat; children, Jocelyn Mangampat (Jenny), Imelda Drexler (John), and Arvin Mangampat (Jing); daughter in law, Marilou Mangampat; siblings, Corazon DeGuia (Tony), Honorato Buan, Jr. (Celia), and Rebecca Zamora (Mel); and grandchildren, Bianca, Carlo, Alyanna, Darwin, Audrey, and Aimee; and a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Luz is preceded in death by her son, Joel Mangampat; brothers, Rudy, Roger, Danny, and Andy Buan.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, with a wake service starting at 8pm with Fr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E Edmondson Street, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Fr. Kevin Walsh officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
