Lula Meryl Thomas' Obituary
Lula (Lou) Meryl Thomas, 71, of Stafford went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2012
at Stafford Hospital.
Lou was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was loving and nurturing her
children and grandchildren. She is survived by 4 daughters, Helen Hanna, Marie Flath, Tracey Cruz, and
Theresa Hooker. She loved and helped raise 2 stepchildren Bonnie Park and Sidney Thomas Jr. Her pride
and joy was her 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband and soul mate, Sidney Gordon Thomas Sr., her sister
Beulah Bridgeford, daughter Francis Arlene and grand-daughter Sierra Park.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 2210 Hays Street, Fredericksburg, VA
22401 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Todd Pyle will be officiating the memorial service. Following the service we will
be hosting a fellowship dinner, please feel free to bring your favorite dish.
