Lucille Hamilton Woodson's Obituary
Lucille Hamilton Woodson passed away peacefully at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center on July 8, 2022 at the age of 85. Lucille was born on August 7, 1936 in Warrenton, VA to the late Lula L. Christian and Isaac P. Woodson.
Lucille was known for her sincere kindness and how she cared for her younger siblings along with her dependability and devotion, giving over 30+ years of service at Warrenton Overlook/Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The phrase that was used unanimously by everyone who crossed Lucille’s path was “she was so sweet”.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory, a daughter, Linda Hulin; son, James W. Woodson, Sr; four grandchildren, Jazmine Taliaferro (Albert), Kayla Sanders (Malcolm), James W. Woodson, Jr., and Nathaniel J. Woodson; two great grandchildren, Nakira Sanders and Messiah Sanders; four sisters, Mamie L. Smith, Shirley Jeter, Dora B. Campbell, and Bessie Davis; one aunt, Ethel Cummings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends, including the special friends that grew to love her presence at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery, Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated by the family to help cover the purchase of a headstone to honor Lucille’s memory. They can be sent by contacting Kayla Sanders.
