Lucille Helen Releford's Obituary
Lucille Helen Releford, lovingly known as Nannie Piggles, of Rappahannock, VA, passed away on February 22nd, 2026, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 27, 1927 in Rappahannock, VA to the late Virgil and Ada Jenkins.
Lucille was a member of Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardener and had a great love for her children and grand-children.
She is survived by her sister, Hollie Dodson; her children, Becky Hoffman, Mary Jenkins, Joyce Leavell (Samuel), and James Releford Jr (Lisa); 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James Releford; brothers, Ennis Jenkins, Sr., Harry Jenkins, George Jenkins and Haywood Jenkins; her sisters, Margaret Jenkins and Emma Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Danny Rider officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Ricky Jenkins, Ricky Jenkins, Jr., Jamie Jenkins, Allan Jenkins, Bruce Deal, Paul Butler, Corey Releford and Bradley Franklin.
