Louise Tuomey's Obituary
Louise Tuomey, 76, of Fredericksburg passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home.
Louise always put her family first. She enjoyed family celebrations, the holidays, playing cards and mahjong. Louise was a great cook; she had been cooking since she was 11 years old.
Louise is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jeremiah; four sons, Timothy of California, Stephen (Michele) of Richmond, David (Elizabeth) of Vienna, and James (Elizabeth) of Arlington; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Allison, and Nicole; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, and two sisters.
Louise’s family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Burial will be held at a later date in Columbia Gardens in Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, Louise’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9904.
