Louis Danforth's Obituary
Louis C. Danforth, born 6/19/1928, son of Oliver Harwood Danforth and Mildred (Sanderson) Danforth passed away March 16, 2009.
Mr. Danforth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and the Korean War. He later had a long career in the construction industry. Mr. Danforth was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Jean (Vincent) Danforth; daughter Barbara Elroy and her husband William of Bel Air, MD; daughter Debra Danforth of Arlington, VA; son Gregory Danforth and his wife Maureen of Manassas, VA; grandaughter Rebecca Krone and her husband Markus of Berlin, Germany; granddaughter Jessica Elroy Fitzgerald and her husband Michael of Baltimore, MD; and his two great-grandchildren, Elena and Zackary Krone of Berlin, Germany. He is also survived by two brothers, Oliver Danforth of Port St Lucie, FL and Warren Danforth of Rutland, VT, and by four sisters: Gloria Howell of Arlington, VT; Elsie Romano and Ella Messer of Rutland, VT and Mildred Ruby of Fair Haven, VT.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 20 at 12:30pm at the Found & Sons Funeral Home, 10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg, VA. Internment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
