Lizzie Soutter Miss Kitty Partlow's Obituary
Lizzie Soutter Miss Kitty Partlow, 79, of Culpeper, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born April 14, 1927 in Lignum, Virginia to the late John Franklin Soutter and the late Mazie Mae Perryman Soutter.
Mrs. Partlow in her younger years, was past manager of Lord Culpeper Hotel, she retired from working with the Federal Reserve Bank as the food service coordinator. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a past president of the VFW Ladies Axillary. The eldest of nine children, she was a loving mother and grandmother and friend of all with whom she came in contact. She particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband, yet cooking and serving her children grandchildren and friends became her upmost joy of life.
She is survived by a son, Russell P. Partlow, Jr., and a daughter, Judy P. Donald and her fiance, Tommy Cubbage. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Russell P. Partlow, III, Elizabeth Ashby Partlow and Lucas A. Donald, and the grandchildren's mother, Ruth E. S. Partlow.
Other survivors include three brothers, John Franklin Soutter, Fred Garland Soutter and Jim T. Soutter, two sisters, Mabel Ann Kennedy and Mildred S. Morris, and her caretaker and close friend, Hazel Lucy Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell P. Partlow, Sr., two brothers, Arthur F. and David L. Soutter, and a sister, Margaret S. Hall.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2007, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Found and Sons Chapel with Barbara Jameson officiating.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Thomas Cubbage, Kenny Soutter, Bobby Soutter, Arthur Soutter, Ricky Morris, Greg Morris, Larry Morris, and Roger Kennedy.
