Linden Russell Ramey, Jr.'s Obituary
Linden Russell Ramey, Jr., 67, of Rixeyville died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born May 25, 1942 in Hayfield, VA to the late Linden Russell Ramey, Sr. and Maxine Link Ramey.
Mr. Ramey was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed yard sales and wood working and was a member of the Communication Workers of America.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jenkins Ramey, five children, Ronald Linden Ramey, Rhonda Lynn Dove and her husband, John, Randall Linden Ramey and his companion, Mary Matthews, Rodney Linden Ramey and his wife, Paige, Renee Leann Greer and her husband, Travis, seven stepchildren, Myra Lynn Settle and her husband, Richard, Gary Hitt and his wife Amy, Richard Hitt, John Hitt, Jason Hitt and his companion Brandy, April Backe and her husband, John and Penny Hitt and her husband, Doug.
Additional survivors include four brothers, David Sr., Robert, Richard and Phillip Ramey, one sister, Sharon Everhart, twenty six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be David Ramey, Jr., Matthew Ramey, Ronald Ramey, Anthony Ramey, Jeremy Corbin and Sammy Hitt.
