Linden Eugene Plummer's Obituary
Linden Eugene Plummer, aged 87, passed away on Monday December 9, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Linden was born on November 16, 1937 in Heavner, Oklahoma where he spent his formative years. He made a great sacrifice for his family joining the military to support them. Later in life while living in Nebraska, he attended college and obtained a Master's degree. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. But more than anything he was loved by everyone who entered his life. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
Linden served a total of 26 years in the military; he spent 12 years in the Air Force as well as 14 years in the Army. After retiring, he went on to work at Metro Transit for 19 years. In his free time, Linden enjoyed gardening, writing poems, being silly, and was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He was an active member of his community, volunteering for various causes and organizations.
Linden is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Mary Lynn and DeAnn; his grandchildren, Lisaundra and Kristian; great grandson, Jackson; as well as a large extended family who all loved him.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Wednesday. December 18, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
