Linda Lorraine Waple's Obituary
Linda L. Waple, 66, of Stafford County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. She was born in Camden, New Jersey to the late, Warren and Elizabeth Hamilton.
After high school Linda briefly studied nursing before switching to a career in computer operations. She was a talented artist who admired the style of Bob Ross; however, she had a greater passion for music and singing, taking inspiration from her father, who was a lead member of a five-piece band in New Jersey.
Linda met her future husband, Stephen, one night while singing karaoke. They later married in 2002, and together they traveled extensively around the country. Stephen considered Linda to be the strongest and bravest woman he had ever met.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Waple; daughter, Heidi Petrone, and her husband, Stanley, of Florida; stepdaughter, Rebecca Machleit, and her husband, Keith, of Fredericksburg; granddaughter, Desiree of Florida; two grandsons, Chase and Maxwell; great-grandson, Colton; two sisters, Patricia McCarthy, and her husband, Michael and Penny Kirkbride, and her husband, James, both of New Jersey; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in her memory to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
