Linda Via Murray's Obituary
Linda Via Murray, 68, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 22, 2022 after visiting with family.
Linda grew up in Pulaski, Virginia. She earned an Associate's degree from New River Community College, and then attended Radford University, where she earned her degrees in Business Administration and Dance.
Linda was a banker for many years. She was a bank manager in Richmond, and Northern Neck, but retired from the Fredericksburg area. Her first love was dance. She owned and operated a dance studio in Pulaski, Va before moving to Richmond in 1981. Linda never lost her love for dance, she volunteered as a dance instructor until she physically couldn’t any longer.
She loved her family and her pets more than anything. Linda loved to spend time with her loved ones and lifelong best friend, Minniejan Krenzer. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to decorate and spread holiday cheer. She also enjoyed watching British television shows, Disney movies, reading, and listening to music, especially the Beatles and Greg Allman. She had a passion for travel, especially to beaches where she could collect seashells. She was delighted to fulfill her dream of seeing Paris when she traveled there with her grandson's French class.
Linda is survived by her daughter and son in law, Tracy and Jack Baxter; grandchildren Douglas, Noah and Meredith; a brother and sister in law Steve and Dreama Via; her niece, Carrie; three nephews, Josh, Brad and Brian; and numerous relatives from the Sumner, Ogle and Via families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Esther Via.
A viewing will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 5, 2022, concluding with a service at 12 pm, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg, followed by a wake at the family home. Internment and service will be held at 12 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Highland Memory Gardens, 5555 Lee Hwy., Dublin Va.
