Linda Gayle Buraker's Obituary
Linda Gayle Buraker, loving wife of 37 years to George S. Buraker went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 9, 2013. She was the daughter of the late David O. and Gladys Smoot.
Linda was devoted to the Lord and lived her life that way. She babysat and took in many kids over the years and was known as a mother to many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Brian S. Buraker; her loving niece, Samantha Gosling, all of Culpeper; one sister, Doris Batiste and her two children, Katie and Eric; two brothers, Larry Smoot and his wife, Terri and their two daughters, Hailey and Kelsey, all of Ruckersville, and Stevie Smoot and his daughter, Danielle Smoot, of Culpeper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry O. Smoot, and one sister, Brenda Gosling.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 2 pm at New Life Baptist Church, 12302 Alum Springs Rd., Culpeper, VA with Pastor Rick Simpson and Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family wishes to thank all their friends and family and the staff of Hospice of the Rapidan for the love, support and compassion showed during Linda’s care.
