Lillie Marie Baldwin's Obituary
The beloved mama, grandma and great grandma Lillie Marie Baldwin, 85, of Culpeper went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 2, 1920 in Browntown, Virginia. She was the wife of the late John W. Baldwin and daughter of the late James and Lottie Clatterbuck.
Mrs. Baldwin was a dedicated mama and caregiver to all that entered her home. She enjoyed the simple things in life like a long ride, cooking a great meal and spending time with others. Her faith and love was shared by all that entered her kitchen. She was very faithful and devoted to her Lord and Savior and spent the last 23 years as a member of First Baptist Church and her minister, Pastor Charles Shifflett. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her and blessed for the wisdom she gave to each of us.
She is survived by her six children, Dolly Alfred and her husband, Dale of Reva, Brenda Jenkins and her husband, Larry of Culpeper, John Baldwin, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Culpeper, Larry Baldwin and his wife, Mary of Culpeper, Faye Leake and her husband, Wayne of Palmyra and “Country” of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include a sister, Mary Warren of Front Royal, one brother, Arthur Clatterbuck of Front Royal, 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Baldwin is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karen Baldwin, a great granddaughter, Dakota Leake, six brothers, her twin brother Willie Clatterbuck, Calvin Clatterbuck, Howard Clatterbuck, Guy Clatterbuck, Nelson Clatterbuck and George Clatterbuck and three sisters, Agnes Pullen, Hazel Clatterbuck and Nellie Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Shifflett and Rev. John Burke officiating.
Interment will follow in the Baldwin Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Wayland, Rocky Peters, “Country”, J.D. Durham, David Jenkins and Larry Jenkins.
