Lillie Mae White's Obituary
Lillie Mae White, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Fredericksburg, Virginia at the age of 85. She was born on March 17, 1939, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Robert Elam and Mary Lively.
Lillie spent her childhood in Charlottesville before marrying and moving to the Fredericksburg area. In 1971, she married William Richard White, with whom she shared over 30 years until his passing in 2010.
Surviving her are her daughter, April White; her son, William White, and his wife, Natalie White; her grandson, Nicholas White; and three great-grandchildren: Madison Thodos, Nick White, and Dean White. Lillie's late son, James Hensley, also remains in loving memory.
Lillie dedicated 16 years of her career to Mary Washington Hospital before retiring.
In this time of sorrow, let us find comfort in knowing that Lillie's spirit now rests with the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
