"Rosie" Lillian Jenkins Woodward's Obituary
(Rosie) Lillian Jenkins Woodward went to her heavenly home on November 27, 2015, at the age of 93. She was born July 4, 1922, near White Shop in Culpeper County to the late Henry Luther & Rosie Jane Leathers Jenkins.
Lillian was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church and the Edith Burton Circle; she also taught Sunday School for over 17 years. In addition to her church activities, she was a past member of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and Culpeper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Woodward and her late husband, Jimmie James Woodward, owned and operated Jimmie’s Auto Parts until his untimely death in 1982.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Lisa Dawn and her husband William L. (Billy) Hutcherson, and her pride and joy granddaughter Heather Dawn Weakley. Also, her grandchildren William L. Hutcherson (with daughter Aveonna) and Elizabeth E. Garten (with husband David and son Joshua).
Additional survivors include her niece Shirley Jenkins Bonovitch along with her children Sara Shell and Aaron Bonovitch; her nephews Douglas H. Jenkins and Thomas E. Jenkins (Marilyn) along with their son Chris (Jaymi) and children Abby and Tristan. Lillian also had a special cousin, Audrey Jenkins, who visited with her and brightened her days.
Lillian was preceded in death by her sister Arline Virginia Jenkins and her brothers Clarence Edwin Jenkins (Mabel) and Eugene Henry Jenkins (Rebecca).
A Funeral will be conducted Wednesday December 2,2015 at 11:00AM at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The burial will follow at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salem Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, 13428 Scotts Mill Road, Culpeper, or to the Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper.
Pallbearers will be Billy Hutcherson, Tom Jenkins, Ricky Bonovitch, Jesse Edwards, Elmer Weakley, and Richard Early.
