Liam Franklin Richards' Obituary
Liam Franklin Richards, age 3, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a struggle with childhood leukemia. He was born August 25, 2015 in Fredericksburg to Phillip and Eliza Richards.
Liam was diagnosed with cancer on his 3rd birthday. He was the sweetest, kindest little boy who lit up the room with his big smile. He loved dinosaurs, Paw Patrol, and anything that had wheels on it, he fell in love with. He wouldn’t go anywhere without his Paw Patrol Pillow and Mickey blanket. Even through his treatment and latest sickness, he was smiling, sweet and flirting with the doctors and nurses. He was a fighter. He was a little warrior and hero to his parents and he will be missed terribly by his entire family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Leitha and Briant Atkins of Rhoadesville; paternal grandparents, Thelma Richards of Orange and John Richards of Orange; aunts, Trina Rimmer, Angela Russell, Aimee Clarke and Madelyn Atkins; and a host of great grandparents, great aunts, great uncles, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Craigs Baptist Church, 14123 W. Catharpin Rd., Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22551 with Pastor Brent Vickery officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Liam’s name to American Childhood Cancer Organization, 6868 Distribution Drive, Beltsville, MD 20705.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr.Lara Riegler and the remaining UVA Pediatric Hematology/Oncology doctors and nurses for their extraordinary and loving care.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
