Lewis "Mack" Woodward's Obituary
Lewis M. “Mack” Woodward, 80, of Washington, VA died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 19, 1933 in Luray to the late Andrew Jackson and Susie Jenkins Woodward.
Mr. Woodward was a member of Flint Hill Pentecostal Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved riding his mower and training his sons to do tree work. His grandson, Darren spent a lot of time with him and prayed for “Pop Pop” every night.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Woodward; two children, Janet M. Leake and her husband, Ronnie and Wayne Alan Woodward and his wife, Sharon; stepson, John A. Lee, Jr. and his wife, Darlene; three siblings, Betty Woodward, Lida Mae Woodward Sisk and Eugene Woodward; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Curtis and Clint Woodward; and siblings, James Hoover Woodward, Hugh Ross Woodward, Glenn Woodward, Rose Elswick, Carrie Woodward, Lonie Woodward and Alice Woodward.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2 pm at Flint Hill Pentecostal Church, 161 Aileen Rd., Flint Hill, VA 22627 with Pastor Bobby Jenkins and Pastor Danny Herring officiating.
Interment will follow in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
