Lewis Wayne Jenkins' Obituary
Lewis Wayne Jenkins, 67, of Sperryville died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1944 in Rappahannock County to the late Aubrey and Ellen Baker Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins enjoyed gardening, traveling, family, friends and life.
He is survived by one son, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Jenkins of Sperryville, one granddaughter, Amy Estelle Jenkins of Stanley, VA, five siblings, Kathleen Lee, Ivy Racer, Linda Dwyer, Troy Jenkins and David Jenkins, and three good friends, Virginia C. Jenkins Smith, June E. Jordan and Nancy W. Reeve.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Nelson, Jimmy and Abbie Jenkins and one sister, Edna Burke.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 178, Sperryville, VA 22740 &/or the Washington Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 238, Washington, VA 22747.
