Lewis Shelton Hailey's Obituary
Lewis Shelton Hailey, 67, of King George, passed away after a long battle with liver cancer and liver disease.
He retired in 2022 after 46 years as a mechanic at Southland/McLane Mid-Atlantic. Lewis enjoyed working in his shop, fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to bluegrass music, and watching old westerns.
Lewis is survived by his wife, Martha Burns Hailey; his daughter, Cori L. Hailey; his son, Lewis W. Hailey; his brothers, Frederick Sineath, Jr. and David Sineath; his sister, Lisa Atkins (Loren), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He preceded in death by his father, Wilford S. Hailey; his step-mother, Nell C. Hailey; his mother, Irene Sineath; step-father, Frederick Sineath, Sr.; and his sister, Vicki Vejnar.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
