Levi Franklin Dyer's Obituary
Levi Franklin Dyer, 77, of Madison passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. He was born April 2, 1931 in Madison to the late Jesse Franklin and Nettie Berry Dyer.
Mr. Dyer was retired from VDOT in Madison with over twenty years of service. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted father, husband, Granddaddy and a giving person who will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Dyer, a son, Jimmy Dyer and his wife, Donna of Madison, a daughter, Peggy Dunn and her husband, Ted of Rixeyville, and three grandchildren, Maci and Meagan Dyer both of Madison and Kelly Carter of Rixeyville, and two brothers, Chester Dyer and George Dyer, both of Winchester.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Estelle Dyer Hurt, Ella Isabele Dyer Seale and Virginia Mae Nicholson and two brothers, Robert Elwood Dyer and Jesse William Dyer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Archie Seale officiating.
Interment will follow in Criglersville Cemetery.
