Lester Henry Chumley's Obituary
Lester Henry Chumley, 78, of Reva died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born June 18, 1931 in Raleigh Ham, NC to the late Henry Luster Chumley and Rosie Ann Hunley Chumley.
Mr. Chumley was an avid card player and enjoyed doing yard work. He was a family man who loved his children and his pug, Rambo.
He is survived by six children, Henry Chumley of Louisa, John Chumley and his wife, Betty Jo of Reva, Dennis Chumley of Reva, Linda Jeffries and her husband, Robert of Fredericksburg, Rosemary Randall and her husband, Gary of Culpeper and Donna Woodward of Madison.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Calvin, Jesse and James Chumley, one sister, Ann Powell, twenty six grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley F. Chumley and two sisters, Charlotte Huffmans and Martha Profit.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Bowles officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Chumley, Jr., Justin Jenkins, Bobby Corbin, Robert F. Jeffries, Jr., Eric Chumley and BJ Chumley.
