Lester Harvey "Buck" Clatterbuck's Obituary
Lester Harvey “Buck” Clatterbuck, 69, a lifetime resident of Culpeper County, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born September 6, 1941 in Culpeper to the late Lewis and Ethel Hawkins Clatterbuck.
Buck never met a stranger. He enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Iris Jean Clatterbuck, one daughter, Rhonda Farnam of Culpeper, two stepchildren, Judy Arentson and her husband, Dave of Bealeton, and Jimmy Holmes and his wife, Melissa of Easley, SC, and one sister, Louise McFarland and her husband, Richard of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Matthew Farnam of Culpeper, Crystal Arentson of Warrenton, David Michael Arentson currently stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL and April Holmes of Easley, SC, and two great grandchildren, Kevin and Angela Morris of Warrenton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela C. Strong and one brother, Lewis Elmer Clatterbuck, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Burke officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Granville Colvin, Donald Baker, Donald and Matthew Farnam, Dave Arentson and Jimmy Holmes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
