Leroy Gerhardt Jr., 92, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on December 25, 2023, in Fredericksburg, VA. He was born on May 5, 1931, in San Antonio, TX.
Leroy was a loving father to Wendy Porter, Allyson Bourgeois, Richard Gerhardt, and Virginia Gerhardt. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leroy was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettye Jo Gerhardt; his second wife, Beverly Gerhardt; and his sister, Mary Jean.
Leroy had a successful career as a petroleum engineer. He obtained his higher education at The University of Texas at San Antonio. In his free time, Leroy enjoyed various hobbies including sports, fishing, homing pigeon racing, and other outdoor activities.
